A deep black from Renshaw’s ‘Monochrome’ shades, coloured with vegetable carbon. Jet Black is ideal for eyes and buttons, and for bats and witches at Halloween.

To use, knead the icing on a clean, dry surface until smooth and pliable, then roll it out to 2–4mm on a worktop lightly dusted with icing sugar. For the best finish, cover your cake with marzipan, buttercream or ganache first.
